I have research interests in public health and internal medicine. More specifically, I am interested in probabilistic Markov modeling, Bayesian evidence synthesis, systematic reviews, (network) meta-analysis, concepts of value in health care, resource allocation, effects of electronic health records, and health outcomes as drivers of value-based competition. I have done research in decision-analytic modeling, health economics, and the epidemiological and biostatistical evaluation of clinical trials. I am very interested in health care services research and quality improvement. Currently, I am pursuing a practicum in quality improvement at one of the academic medical centers in Boston. I am a peer reviewer for Value in Health (which I also co-edit), Annals of Internal Medicine, American Journal of Managed Care, Circulation, Circulation: Cardiovascular Quality and Outcomes, Circulation: Heart Failure, Expert Opinions on Biological TherapyHeart, Journal of Health Organization and Management, Mayo Clinical Proceedings, Medical Decision Making, Pharmacoeconomics, and PLoS Medicine. I am a member of International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research, Society for Medical Decision Making, German Society for Radiology, Alumni Club, International Federation of Medical Students’ Association, and Alumni Club, European Students’ Conference One project that I worked was a Visual Basic for Excel tool for decision analysts and health economists using TreeAge Pro Suite to facilitate Automated Deterministic Sensitivity Analysis for First-order Monte Carlo Simulations with Excel and TreeAgeomated deterministic sensitivity analysis for first-order Monte Carlo simulations with Excel and TreeAge.
